Welcome to the IRL F2 League Steward’s Office:

The Steward’s Office is to be used to resolve incidents that have occurred on track in the IRL F2 League races between yourself and other driver(s). Incidents, issues and concerns are to be raised and posted in a mature and respectful manner. Time penalties and wrongful illegal overtake penalties will be resolved by your League Admin(s), who you should approach through private message.

Derogatory posts which involve “finger-pointing” or those which are intended to instigate an argument will be removed and WILL NOT be considered. Stewards will examine all evidence provided and available to them in relation to each incident and will post their findings.

There will be a mandatory “cool off period” before being able to post a request to the Steward’s Office. The Steward’s Office WILL NOT open until 9am the day after the race and will close again 9am the following day. Any requests to the Stewards outside this window WILL NOT be considered.

If drivers accumulate a number of penalties over a few races, penalties will be applied in the order they were awarded.

Brief description of incident: Running in p11 chasing a potential one point finish on lap 26 with 2 laps to go I get rear ended going into a corner killing my tyres in the process because they were 16 lap old mediums which then I had no choice but to pit for fresh tyres to finish the race losing me more time and positions due to that incident.

Description: Lap 9 I saw that I was faster down that straight so decided to save some ERS give it a go next lap.  Lap 10 get alongside and out-brake Tb, get to the apex first but he sweeps across me – failing to give me a cars width, and making contact putting me into a spin.  Unfortunately ends TONY-Y-’s race as he crashes into my out of control car.  Slo-mo at the end of the clip shows that Tb took the apex of the corner as normal and didn’t give a cars width.  Initial contact with his sidepod started to spin me but I was able to catch it, before front-to-rear tyre contact finally sent me spinning.

How the incident effected my race: Span and lost several positions (no damage) – Tony was the real looser as he ended up smashing into me and retiring.

Just wanna say the incident between Matty & Tb was all my fault unfortunately. Under DRS I misjudged my braking every so slightly, caught the right rear of Tb’s car which forced him in to Matty. It was an easy mistake to make and I’ll take full responsibility for this.

      Incident: Unfair corner-cut.

      Time: entire clip

Got a Warning for “cutting” the corner at T3/Eau rouge which later ended up being a 3-second time penalty. I didn’t cut the corner, throughout T3 i had my front fight tyre on the White Line. You only get a warning if you have all 4 wheels off the track. If the warning gets removed it Will mean my 3-second time penalty Will also have to be removed.

Brief description of incident: Last lap, last sector, I’m on Hards and Lopensky on inters in wet conditions. Lopensky absolutely sends it into turn 13 and if I don’t take avoiding action, we’re both dead and probably both miss out on the podium.

Describe how the incident affected your race: With the immense pace Lopensky was carrying, he would’ve had the podium due to my 3 sec time penalty anyway. But forcing his way through on turn 13 was a dangerous and aggressive move. If I continue to turn in on that corner just as I did all other 32 laps, he’d have easily spun me potentially costing me more positions. He didn’t warrant space on that corner as was still well behind on entry but if I don’t give the space, I’m facing the other way and I didn’t want to see my hard fought race end in a wall or watching cars go by as I sit stationary.

      I tried to overtake Gooner.
I was alongside him and had the inside. But he gave me no space at all at the apex. It’s a miracle we didn’t touch/crash.

reason I report it (since I don’t lost loads of time) is it could’ve been really bad.  If we would’ve crashed it would’ve caught out probably 4 guys. As I’ve had 2 really close behind.
this was unfair and dangerous imo.

      Driver involved Tanker.
Cut to 45 seconds in to the video.
During the safety car bunch up, twice I had Tanker brake very hard and make me run in to the back of him, which resulted in me getting penalties and a broken front wing. It eventually cost me a points position cos of the penalties I received at the end.

      My response to Rymaac.

      My Pov, Video link: https://youtu.be/W_Xv4MRevFo

      1. Personally I gave enough space for Rymaac to make a move, no damage done to either cars

      2. I broke later than Rymaac at the hairpin and if I continued with the racing line I would’ve hit Rymaacs gearbox. So the only option was to dive bomb down the inside, clean move no damage to either cars.

      3. There was enough space to make the move down the inside and not all four wheels was off the track.

How the incident effected my race: Both incidents wing damage so both needed extra pitstops. Undoubtedly costed me a podium as in both cases could have gone to the end of the race of the tyres was on

Time of incident in video: Lap 29, starting at 7:17

Drivers involved (PSN ID): Rymaac & Rbiiz09

Brief description of incident: We were at the end of the race and although I was slower (and also thanks to the difference in penalties received by the game) I felt able and in full right to defend the third position in which I was.

I am attacked by the other two cars in the straight and a first contact takes place, since three cars paired in the Parabolika at more than 310 km/h is not really easy to do. ( 😀 )

When you are on the track in such a “dangerous” situation everyone involved must consider whether it is worth keeping the accelerator down or if it’s better to give up and maybe try overtaking at a later time.

I was in front of the others (and moreover in the trajectory that in Parabolika we can define as internal) so at least in this episode I did not consider it dangerous for ME to keep my foot down on the accelerator.

At the hairpin I decide to delay the braking to attempt a trajectory intersection, foreseeing the line that the other two would have made. This was to avoid contact with the other two drivers, to defend the position and ESPECIALLY to conquer the inside approaching to turn 7. I was in fact certain that, if the maneuver would be successful, the best position to be in turn 7 would be the inside one.

Things went exactly as I expected, and we still find ourselves in 3 paired going towards turn 7.

At this point, I was clearly the one in the best and above all safest position. I keep my line as far to the right as possible to give space to the others, so much so that I find myself with my front left wheel on the white line, with half the car on the grass.

All three were well aware that, by setting curve 7 paired and at full throttle, the probability of “getting hurt” was very high.
In my opinion, everyone took his risks in that circumstance, aware of how risky his position was.

To be clear, the Rymaac line was the one most exposed to possible risks (due to errors by the drivers in the innermost lines), mine instead was the safest (the outcome depended only on me).

As a result of this, I think that setting the curve maybe Rbiiz09 anticipates too much the entrance, hits my car with the front right tire and bounces outwards, overwhelming Rymaac and ending the race of both.

Describe how the incident affected your race: Without that accident I almost certainly wouldn’t have won the race. Obviously it was not my intention to cause withdrawals, but I do not regret having defended my position as best I could.

Description:  Following the final SC at the hairpin, Tanker misses his braking point and hits into me, causing me to get damage and lose positions.

How the Incident effected my race:  Was running in 3rd.  The incident caused me to lose 3 places initially, and gave me front wing damage.  I then started dropping like a brick back to 8th place in the remaining 2 laps as a result of the damage.  Despite this, after penalties were applied I finished 3rd only 1.6s behind the leader, so without the contact + damage and the lost time this caused, I could have possibly won the race after penalties.

How the Incident effected my race:  I got a 3rd warning so a penalty, in total I got 6 warnings so a total of 6secs penalty.

MJ Coop had some sort of issue, then proceeded to drive back on to the track in a dangerous manner and swerved in to me causing me to have severe wing damage and pretty much put me out of any chance to fight in this race.

Brief description of incident: Both cases the Racing Point did some kind of mistake on the inner curb, lost control of car and then crashed into me. Obviously I don’t think he did it on purpose, but I couldn’t do more to prevent him from hitting me.

Describe how the incident affected your race: This episode completely destroyed my race. Although I had started calmly, without taking any risks, by the end of the second lap I had already accumulated a delay of about 50 seconds from the first, finding myself having to do the whole race alone.

Brief description of incident: Massive crash and pile up in turn 2 at the start. From what I saw an Alfa lost control and put me in the wall and then went across the track crashing into others. Big pile up can’t be swept under the carpet as a lap 1 incident as a lot of drivers races were ruined

Describe how the incident affected your race: Wing change and dropped to dead last. Safety car was deployed but either way so difficult to overtake race was over. Also 2 drivers DNF’ed and another three needed wing changes

Brief description of incident: My pov of lap 1. I make my external trajectory avoiding contacts and leaving room for everyone. In front of us, some other drivers hit eachother and trigger a carambola that ends on me. I have poor visual of what was happening cause the Williams was hiding the cars out of control. I realized what was happening only when 3 cars crashed into me at once.

Describe how the incident affected your race: I retired from the race because of this incident. Two races in a row i got zero points for others crashing into me. I’m really frustrated. Two weeks of wasted training for the race.

      Description of the incident:

I successfully overtake Matty into the chicane.  I catch my wheel partly on the kerb on exit which gives me a small kick of oversteer.  This sends me to the right and I very quickly react by getting off throttle and turning left to correct well before contact was made.

Unfortunately because of Matty’s good exit, he had half of his front wing alongside my rear wheel when this happened.  Additionally he was incredibly close to me coming out of the corner (just about touching my rear before the incident happened, not sure if he actually caught me or not) and in the middle of the track with me having just more than a cars’ width and zero margin for error.  Although I reacted very quickly, there unfortunately wasn’t enough space and I caught Matty’s front wing.  The initial contact was tiny, but it was enough to make my car slide in the other direction, therefore making more severe contact which is what then pushed the two of us straight towards the wall.

Had Matty been half of a front wing further behind (less than the game’s 60fps rendering ability) the incident wouldn’t have happened.  Had he been half a car’s width to the right instead of squeezed right up beside me there would have been space to correct the error without contact (as I was already most of the way through recovering the car before contact was made).  Had I have been slightly further to the right or increased my throttle level a fraction of a second later again the snap would not have happened.  Unfortunately it was a very small error that because of very small margins in a close but clean battle over several laps that resulted in an undeserved finish to Matty’s race for which I can only apologise.

How the incident effected my race:

I lost two positions due to the contact sending me off track, but Matty came off worse and it ruined a good drive from him.

Drivers involved (PSN ID): Rymaac, Delange

Brief description of incident: I do not have a great start, both because I do not use driving aids and because I am a victim of the continuous stop & go made by the drivers in front during the formation lap and therefore I start the race with tires that are not at temperature.

Aware that I would not have made a good start, I limit myself to a quiet start, aiming to keep the car stable in my “lane” avoiding any movement that could cause contact with any faster drivers behind me.

Despite succeeding in my intent, I get hit by Rymaac’s car and sent to the wall not even a few meters after the lights go out.

Describe how the incident affected your race: The accident totally destroyed my race, leaving me with no hope of returning to the group.

Brief description of incident: (DEFENSIVE CLIP)

Firstly, Lopensky and AaronJ collide in the formation lap, sending them back to the grid with ice cold tyres.
I get a fantastic start, immediately overtaking Lopensky and pull up along side Delange. Delange is also trying to move around the slower moving Aaron and contact from Delange results in my contact with Lopensky.
Below I shall post the screenshots that were shared in the F2 drivers chat after the race as well as my footage to give a clearer view and to show that Lopensky did in fact have plenty of room to move over and avoid contact.

There was some brake checking under safety car. I could only just avoid damage. But therefore fokkie hit my back which gave him damage. (And after je intentionally crashed out)

would be good if you guys can find out how starts doing this braking.  It needs to stop. Ruins people’s races.  I think Megg or the guy in front lost some parts as well. As I saw some bits flying around.
